The Austin Eye Rollingwood clinic has undergone a complete transformation, turning an existing two-story facility into a cutting-edge surgical eye care center for the esteemed Dr. Shannon Wong and his growing Austin Eye practice. The extensive renovation involved stripping the 20,553 SF building to its core and rebuilding it to accommodate state-of-the-art features. The facility now houses an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) equipped with three operating rooms, along with 15 exam rooms, pre- and post-operative patient areas, and a comprehensive medical gas infrastructure. To enhance the overall experience, a two-story high-end lobby and waiting room have been incorporated into the design.
Furthermore, the building includes a spacious open-concept office area featuring a large conference room, a comfortable break room, and an employee locker room. Leveraging the unique presence of Eanes Creek on the site, the design seamlessly integrates this water feature, with the clinic spanning over it, supported by sturdy concrete columns while preserving the natural beauty of the surroundings. The result is an impressive and aesthetically pleasing facility that will cater to the healthcare needs of the Austin and Westlake area for many years to come.
